    Dr. Mr. Toss,
It was a pleasure to participate in your puzzle contest! I got to think about my favorite beverage, I got to think about liquid, and I got to anticipate a long-standing intention to delve seriously deeper into working on statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, CAD design, naval architecture, and finite element analysis. Basically all things Newtonian. And with that said I’m very admiring of the other answerers who attempted to derive these principles from experiments as Newton and his fellow originals were required to do. As Sir Newton once said “I stand on the shoulders of giants,” and I, using his equations, feel that “I casually slouch upon the shoulders of giants.” One of those giants being yourself, whose work I referenced nightly in my brief tenure as a yard rigger, and will continue to reference as a lifelong sailor. I am honored and privileged to be able to read your regular postings on rigging, sailing, and life in general. Thank you!

      Hi,
Where do we send that beer? Or might you be coming to Port Townsend?
      Regards,
      Brion
