Dynex splice question

While it seems that the Brummel splice is the flavor of the month for Dynex Dux I was wondering about the "tuck" splice found here...http://www.hampidjan.is/Products/Dynex/Dynexropes/ as an alternative.

Seems like the tuck should be stronger?

Options

Hello,
It's harder to get stronger than 100%, and there are several ways to approach this. Different splices give us options for other considerations. The tuck splice, for instance, is physically shorter, so it might be preferable for a halyard that has to get drawn into a sheave. The downside is that this splice is more complex and time-consuming. Always a trade-off.
Fair leads,
