spectra snares

Brion,
I did not see replacement snares in the catalog at Brion Toss Yacht Riggers.
Did I miss something?
Are they available from your shop, or should I make my own?
I have seen spectra kite string available, but 1000 feet of that would keep all the splicers in the country using your splicing wand in stock for generations.
I would be happy to order from your shop, but if not available what is the lb. rating of the spectra string that should be used, and are smaller quantity spools available?
Thanks for the help.
Fair winds.

replacement snares

Look under splicing gear... and about halfway down the page. Cheers,

Tom

You can make your own!

For years now I've been braiding my own snares. Just grab some scrap technora strands and do a simple 3-strand braid (like a pony-tail) fold it in half, tie a knot in the end and you're good to go.

The technora one I have on there now has been there for about 2 years through several hundred splices.
