masthead splice
 

Aloha/ howdy all! Might anyone have any experience in splicing on a masthead to a mast? What i have is a mast45' long, which was much longer, and in the process of cutting the mast to fit the needs of my boat the head had to be removed. I left about 5" of the original mast attached to the head.

We often replace mastheads, so it is something that is doable, but I'd have to know more about the details of this mast. Got pictures?
