harken hexaratchet

Hi, I am looking to use a rescue harness and hexaratchet as per Brion's "going aloft" for future endeavours up my mast. What Hexaratchet should I buy: The # 1549 (1800lb SWL and 5000lb breaking strength) or would the # 009 hexaratchet II + 2 type (750lb SWL and 2000lb breaking strength) be ok?
Thanks, Richard

I used a 1549

I used a 1549 on mine...

Bonus question, how many flat sides does a Hexaratchet sheave have?

I use a harken 75mm hexaratchet HAR2671 single with becket becasue the concealed ratchet lever doesn't ever get tripped to un-ratchet by accident (its at the top). This is a recent upgrade after having used a HAR1550 at first.
On the bottom I use a Har1546 midrange classic ratchet single for my three to one hoist because the ratchet button is easy to trip for fast decents. I find 7/16" ideal for my grip, winter and summer, wet or dry.

oh, eight sided, right ?
