So... long story short, it got yanked and a new Furlex is going on in it's place. Not surprisingly it was in very poor condition when pulled- with the top bearing completely frozen!

I believe there is a stay within the extrusion, but I am not sure- Is there a way for me to check (without disassembling the furler)?

It's obviously an older furler- it has a round aluminum luff extrusion that has rotated (about 90 degrees) in relation to the furling drum. The surveyor suggested...
