Just a quick comment but soft eyes on the mast sorta/kinda makes me think Dynex Dux... It would certainly be my first choice for a Colvin Gazelle.

Amsteel/Dynex to double braid splice?

As Amsteel and Dynex are so strong maybe it makes some sense to treat it like wire in the way we used to do wire/rope halyards?
