Hello all,

I'm planning (after I receive my Book 5) to fabricate a grommet/loop/whatever of 1/4" Amsteel to put round my sprit to attach my furling screacher. Boat is an F-27 trimaran, somewhat modified. I expect this thing to see at maximum around 3,000 lb, prolly usually sees 1,500 generally.

I'm sitting here thinking about the fact that there's no possible way to have the 'correct' amount of tail in the loop, given the size.'

Am I crazy to trust this thing?
