Default Which splicing wands do I want?

Family members are asking for Christmas gift ideas. I know I want some spicing wands, but I'm not sure which sizes. What would be a reasonable set for use with the common line sizes on a 40' sailboat? I figure 2 or 3 wands will suffice, just not sure which 2 or 3 as there seems to be some overlap. Thanks.

Default Fewer?

Hello,
Maybe just two, as we designed each one to do several sizes. A medium would work for all halyards, mainsheet, lifelines, and assorted tackles for that size boat. And maybe a micro, for things like lazyjacks and dinghy gear. What am I saying? We sell those things. Collect 'em all, several in each size!
Fair leads,
Brion Toss
