![]() For a mast head sloop rig. I plan to add either an inner forestay (with runners), or a Solent Stay. The stay will be used with hank on storm sails and jibs less than 100%. Do you have any recomendation for either a inner forestay or Solent Stay?

![]() Hello,
Solent stay, just about every time, assuming you have a furler on the jib. Properly installed, it won't need runners, and will allow a hank-on drifter, so you bracket the Genoa's range of windspeed. Fair leads, Brion Toss |

![]() The solent rig on our Saga 43 is terrific (I have also added a removable inner stay for a storm jib). Just keep in mind that with the solent rig the forwardmost sail cannot be tacked through - it must be furled first.
