![]() (Ok, not rigging, but it /is/ about the rigging video!)
... on my computer that is. None of the latest version of RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, and several other open source players can handle this video correctly. RealPlayer can not get past the intro screen that leads to the menu -- it hangs at the end of the intro screen. If you are very quick, you can open the menu and select the video menu. Then RP will play the video. But should you choose to rewind a bit, the video freezes and you get only audio. Media Play can get to the menu with no problem, but it fails in the same way as RealPlayer when forwarding or rewinding. InterActual Player cannot even play this video at all. Has anybody else experienced these problems? Its quite a bummer, as I have no TV nor VCR, only a whole bunch of computers ;-) -barry Last edited by memelet : 03-27-2007 at 08:37 PM. |

![]() Well, installing a new OS is way beyond my pain tolerance just to view a video
![]() But! I have updated my DivX player and it seems to allow me to jump all around the video with no problems. So life is good again. |

![]() No, just implying that you're going to continue to see more and more problems viewing DVDs, playing CDs, and other media content on Vista. MS has a boondoggle in their system, and they're requiring a *lot* of rules/hurdles for software developers in order for their programs to access your hardware and content at the same time.
(Not MS's fault per se, RIAA and Hollywood are insisting on it, but still...) |
