![]() Hello,
I got the 3/4 " wand and eye splice video from Brion. got through the 5/8" demo line Ok, however when trying to do an eye splice in 3/4" I have the problem in that is is almost impossible to pull the core out at the spot I need to make the turn for the eye. I just can not move it out of the sheath. I resorted to start pulling the core out closer to the bitter end, i had to do this in 3 seperate pulls. One at 8 " in, another at 16" in and a final one at 24". Needless to say I got the core out of the first hole in the sheath, however when it exited the second hole it was completely unraveled. I tried to hook it at the second hole and pull it into the sheath, even though this was short. I could not get the unraveled braid to behave at all. completely unsuccessful. If anyone else has seen this problem, please let me know. Could it possibly be just cheap rope ? Miller |

![]() Hello,
Diameter doesn't appear to be the issue here. Can you tell us the brand and model of the rope you are using? Is it new, absolutely new, rope? Fair leads, Brion Toss |
