Thanks Brian,
that's my thinking as well, I only care about save rigging that I could easily inspect and repair. But I am in inconvenient position now and I have to make a decision, order the material etc. and obviously I don't have much experience. E.g. I can't get the 9/32" 1x19 wire, will have to order it from abroad.
In fact I am not afraid to do the work, on the contrary, but I am afraid I won't be getting much help once I start, because so far I only met people who encourage me to buy their swages or terminals and even let them unstep my mast and do all the work - too difficult they say.
So I am asking lot of questions to be little more sure what are the best steps
