Forestay Tension

I have a Hanse 341 which has a 7/8 fractional rig and swept back spreaders and furling jib.The forestay is not adjustable (no turnbuckle).

The forestay appears to have too much sag in higher (20 knot-plus) winds, which creates excessive draft at the luff of the jib.

The upper shrouds are tuned pretty tight (close to 20%). Cranking on the adjustable backstay does a great job of flattening the top of the main.

My analysis of the rig geometry tells me that shortening the forestay (via turnbuckle or shorter wire) won't make any difference to sag, it just changes the mast rake. It appears that the only way to take sag out of the forestay is to tension the upper shrouds more tightly.

Is my analysis correct? What is the best way to go about reducing sag in the forestay?
