![]() I am in the process of fabricating silicon bronze chain plates to replace my exitsing 316 SS that are showing signs of crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. I am also thinking maybe I should use silicon bronze to replace some of the mast tangs and other bits of 316 SS that currently make up my standing rigging. Do you see any problems with this? Would the bronze in contact with the aluminum mast be a significant corrosion issue?
