Given adequate tuning, the difference in tension is generally not an issue. Yes, the rig will be tighter or slacker, depending on temperature -- as it is with wire -- but the elasticity is so low that it just doesn't make a difference. This assumes, of course, that you are using a proper diameter, so the tuning loads don't promote creep. Fair leads, Brion Toss |
