Swage terminals for 1/4" wire are available in 3/8" and 1/2" pin (or thread). If I do my math right a 1/2" pin (or thread) is about 78% stronger than 3/8". That's a huge...

Lashing to wire rigging

My boat uses lashing instead of a turnbuckle on the forestay. It's time to replace the standing rigging and I'm wondering if theres a better connection than the current:

1x19 wire (3/16")...

Bend radius for 1x19 SS

Are there guidelines for bending 1x19 SS wire at the spreader tip? I have not seen such specs, but bend angle and spreader tip radius must play a role in wire fatigue.
