Default rubbing spinnaker halyard

Hi, on my fairly new to me Tartan 37C I added a pulley and halyard for a spinnaker which attaches to the a 10" tang which goes horizontally out from the top of the mast. The problem I have now is that when the top part of the Harken foil turns (when furling) it rubs and can catch on the spinnaker halyards as the Harken unit is fairly large in diameter. There is a small pennant (12") on the top of the sail to keep the top part of the furler unit near sheeve to get the angle right to prevent the halyard wrap (I think).
So what options do I have to fix this besides taking the pennant off to lower the unit a bit and then I have to add some sort of halyard diverter to the mast. Right now I run the spinnaker halyards behind the upper side stays and this works but I worry about cafe and would like to do it properly.

Thanks in advance,
Richard
