![]() You can link in a picture:
![]() That's done by finding the "internet address" of the picture on the internet and putting it between "IMG" tags ... here's how the picture above is inserted in the message: [ img ]http://users2.ev1.net/~fshagan/ocean.jpg[ /img ] I put in extra spaces between the square brackets and the "IMG" tags so you could see the structure ... remove those spaces and the image appears. You can also press the picture icon (looks like a mountain and sun) that is in the message editor dialog when you post a message, and input the internet address of the picture. You can get the internet address by right clicking on a picture and "copying" it to the clipboard, then "paste" it into the pop up box. Usually, businesses like Brion's will have to pay bandwidth charges if they go over a certain amount each month, and pictures in a forum really add up the bandwidth. When you link in a picture, it doesn't use up Brion's bandwidth, but does use up the bandwidth for the other site you've linked it from. Most ISPs allow you to link from your webspace with them, but most of the picture hosting sites don't allow linking. I did find one that has free picture posting, and allows linking ... http://www.imageshack.us/ So you could post your images there, and link them in here. They even encourage it. |
