Is there a source for 6x7 or 7x7 galvanized wirerope???

I am curious why you just can't use 6 or 7x19? I read in Brion's book that you can figure out how much stretch and figure the length accordingly. Is there really a need to only usee 7x7 for standing rigging. I hope to next year replace the old wire on my boat and will have to maybe use 7x19 --- is it the end of the world if you use 7x19???
