Default lubricating mast sheaves?

Do aluminum mast sheaves need any lubrication? Which one? Can this be done with running rigging on?

Thanks!

Default Sheaves

Hi,
Almost certainly not, and most lubricants will just attract grit and crud. If they are squeaking or difficult to turn, there are probably issues that lubrication won't help. You might try removing the sheaves -- a protocol worth some study -- and refreshing or replacing the bushings, or just replacing the whole thing. Zephyrwerks is a great, great resource for all things sheavely.
Fari leads,
