I used the Blue Loc Tite. Lots of it! But I have not yet tried inspecting one after more than a minute of tightening it down.

"The Hi-MOD fitting should be “hand tightened” fully and then proceed to apply a 1/2" rotation with a wrench for the appropriate fit. It is possible to gall...

Turnbuckle Initial Setting
I'm replacing the shrouds and stays on a 30 foot sloop.
When measuring out the new rigging, how far into the turnbuckles should the studs be threaded to set the length of the cable before cutting?
