Default another option

For the through the mast connection, colligo marine makes cheeky tangs, which I plan on using for the next rigging upgrade. This should eliminate both the toggle and thimble components. And the shackle.

Not sure what kind of connection you have, but if there is a pin, John Franta's suggestion (in my case) was to lash the thimble directly to the pin.

Best regards,
Gleb

Thanks guys. I had not thought of just using a shackle but that makes sense. Funny thing is that the second tangs sharing the same bolts are for lazy jack blocks and that is exactly what I used to attach them. Love the Colligo products so perhaps that is an option when I rebuild the mast. Cheers.
